After Two Acquisitions, iSyndicate Cuts Staff 
SAN FRANCISCO (VENTUREWIRE) -- iSyndicate, a provider of Internet 
syndication infrastructure and application technology, said it laid off an

undisclosed number of its staff members, but would not confirm the 30 to
39 
layoffs reported in other sources. The company did say the layoffs were
due 
to the recent acquisitions of Kurion and nFactory and said the positions 
eliminated were redundancies resulting from the acquisitions. iSyndicate, 
which employs 310 in the U.S. and in Europe, said it is planning further 
acquisitions, but did not disclose further details. The company is backed
by 
Bertelsmann, Chase Hambrecht & Quist, Infospace.com, Labrador Ventures, 
Microsoft, News Corp., Scripps Ventures, and Vignette.
