Rhea Emerges as Top "Rosie Show" Candidate 

Caroline Rhea, star of the WB's "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," has emerged 
as the favorite in the race to replace Rosie O'Donnell as host of the 
popular daytime talk show next year. As the New York Post reports, Rhea, 
who guest-hosted "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" while O'Donnell recovered from

a post-surgical infection, will meet with Warner Bros. execs this week to 
discuss taking the position permanently. O'Donnell, who also serves as the

nominal editor of the Gruner + Jahr magazine "Rosie," has announced that 
she will leave the talk show when her contract expires in May 2002. Rhea 
has also pulled guest-hosting stints on "Live with Regis & Kathie Lee," 
and has traded bon mots with the likes of Jim Jay Bullock and Bruce 
Vilanch on the head-scratchingly popular syndicated game show "Hollywood 
Squares."
