o Platform Developer Trapezo Gets $12 Million in Third Round
 
SAN FRANCISCO -- Trapezo, a developer of a Web-based
platform designed to manage the distribution of
content, promotions, merchandise, and related business
data between partners, said it has secured $12 million
in its third round of funding led by Softbank Venture
Capital. Athena Technology Ventures also participated
in the round. Trapezo said it will use the funding
for ongoing product development, infrastructure,
marketing, and strategic initiatives. Heidi Roizen,
managing director of Softbank, and Ryan McIntyre,
a venture partner at Softbank and co-founder of
Excite, will join Trapezo's board of directors.
